First of all, let’s get this out of the way: I stole this idea. Many websites are struggling with content and if we see something we like, we’re gonna take it and make it our own. It’s shameful and disheartening. but hey - desperate times call for desperate measures.

With that in mind, let’s go back to the 1970’s in Phillies history. The Vet was born, a new generation of Phillies came together for the first real “dynasty” in team history and a future Hall of Famer roamed the field in front of the hardscrabble fans that call Philadelphia home. But who were the best?

Going off of Baseball Reference’s version of WAR, we’ve created a little quiz for you. Using Sporcle, you have to try and guess the top 10 Phillies position players of the ‘70s. This is position players ONLY - no pitchers. Click below and play the game with us, BUT DON’T CHEAT! Don’t go running to Baseball Reference until you are finished with the game. Good luck and let us know how you did in the comments.
