Welcome to the shortest recap of all time because this game was horrid

Ugh.

Kris Bryant hit a grand slam that put the Cubs up 11-0 in the fifth inning. He hit it off of Nick Pivetta.

Seranthony Dominguez has given up 10 runs over his last four appearances (two innings) since having a bad elbow. He might be dead.

Bryce Harper had a grand slam, his 14th home run of the year and 53rd RBI. He is currently third in all of baseball in that category. His .991 OPS is fourth in baseball. He’s good.

The Phillies had TWO position players pitch. That’s how bad it got. Cole Irvin was sent to Lehigh Valley after the game, with a rehabbed Spencer Howard returning. It’s fair to ask if Irvin ever pitches in the majors again.

The Phillies are off tomorrow.

Thank god.
