The Phillies’ draft stable is going to get a little bit fuller tonight. Even though they lost their second round pick due to signing Zack Wheeler (something I think we would all do as well), they still have a chance to nab some talent in this, a shortened draft.
One night after selecting arguably the best high school pitcher in the draft, they moved again in the 3rd round to take Casey Martin, a shortstop out of Arkansas.

Martin is one of the more physically gifted college players in the draft but he also has one of its worst approaches.
