This news comes on the heels of a release from the Phillies confirming that home clubhouse staffer and a coach from the Phillies had tested positive for Covid-19.

So now, by the team the Phillies possibly take the field next Monday, they will have played on 3 games while the rest of major league baseball will have somewhere between 7-10 games under each of their belts. This is the very definition of competitive disadvantage.
Something must be done by MLB and fast. They cannot allow the Phillies to continue to sit at home and not play, rusting up and losing their timing while the rest of the league continues to keep their groove going, pitchers get stretched out, batters become sharper, etc. This cannot be allowed to continue like this.
We’ll have more updates as they become available.
