Some surprising news out of Philadelphia today. According to the Athletic’s Meghan Montemurro, Alec Bohm is coming to the big team.
The Phillies have called up prospect Alec Bohm, sources tell @TheAthleticPHI. Team hasn’t confirmed.

With both Jean Segura and Rhys Hoskins struggling to hit right now and the addition of the designated hitter to the National League this year, the timing is right for Bohm to come up and show what he can do. Where he plays, and how often, remains up in the air, which makes this still somewhat surprising.
The team needed a jolt and seems to be getting one in the form of their top offensive prospect. Let’s see how this one plays out.
