Gamethread 8/29: Braves at Phillies

After some late night heroics, the two teams tangle on a water logged Saturday matinee

With fans all over calling for his demotion to the alternate site at worst and a prolonged benching at best, Scott Kingery ended the game last night by crushing a home run that gave us perhaps the greatest walkoff celebration ever by Andrew McCutchen.

Following up that magical moment, the Braves and Phillies meet yet again at 1:15 today to continue their three game series that is actually their penultimate game of the year. With all the rain in the area, chances that it starts on time are low.

Zach Eflin was quite good last week when the Phillies and Braves met, so he’ll hope to have another solid start.
