In a season like this, there were always going to be contributions to the team that would come from unexpected places. The other night, it was Rafael Marchan hitting his first professional home run that ended playing a large part in the team’s victory that night. Last night, it was the much maligned Vince Velasquez throwing a gutty, solid game that was also helped by three members of the team’s bullpen.
Today, the traditions continues as Adonis Medina will make his debut in the major leagues by giving the team a spot start that they desperately need. Of course, as we know all too well, that spot start will more than likely lead to a series of starts.
The Phillies will take on the Blue Jays for their final home game of the season. This will be the last baseball game played in Philadelphia until March 2021. What a season.

Look, the Eagles aren’t going to win. Why not watch a team that has a shot at the playoffs?
