There wasn’t much baseball news yesterday and there probably won’t be much today, either. It is, perhaps, the slowest day of the year in baseball. Anyway, here’s what we’ve got for you.
Phillies news
- Don’t forget to make a Fanpost with your 2021-22 offseason plan. If you need more inspiration, Destiny Lugardo of Phillies Nation wrote her offseason plan this week.
- Bryce Harper began his campaign to get Freddie Freeman to Philadelphia. (I’m kidding, mostly.)
- At least according to one oddsmaker, the Phillies are major contenders to sign Carlos Correa. On a slow news day, I’ll take it.
MLB news
- Nick Castellanos has opted out of his contract with the Reds and become a free agent. It seems like plenty of Phillies fans are interested.
- Buster Posey officially announced his retirement. Talk about going out on top.
- If you’re tired of all the articles praising the Braves and their championship run, may I suggest reading this piece in The Onion instead.
