It’s going to be pretty difficult to argue that the National League East isn’t the best division in the game. The Braves, Mets, Nationals and Phillies have all taken steps to improve themselves this offseason, spending money while other teams turtle into their shell. It’s a welcome sight, watching an arms race instead of all the teams cowering before the banks, but it would be nice if at least one of them didn’t do a whole lot to make the path to the playoffs a little easier. Oh well.
