The Phillies took on the Tigers Sunday afternoon and lost 5-3. Chase Anderson got the start and gave up four runs in 3.2 innings. But the bigger news was that J.T. Realmuto was originally scheduled to get the start at designated hitter, but was later scratched due to “soreness.”
Girardi said Realmuto got 7-10 at-bats, caught and threw yesterday in a sim game. "I just said, hey, it's cooler today, you have general soreness, I'm not going to play you for three at-bats. I don't think it's worth it."
