Rheal Cormier passed away yesterday after a long bout with cancer.
Cancer sucks.
A lot of the links for the Phillies will be dedicated to Cormier because, by all accounts, he was one of the good ones. Many of the former teammates that tweeted out condolences yesterday kept coming back to the same general theme of how good a person he was as well as how good a teammate he was. So, with that in mind, we dedicate today’s links to a Cormier and to his memory.
Rest in peace, Rheal.
On to the links.
Phillies news:
- In the words of Jim Salisbury, Cormier was simply “good people.”
- I think sometimes we forget that Cormier was also an Olympian as well as a member of the league.
- In non-Cormier news, the Spencer Howard dilemma only grows each time he impresses on the mound.
- Which Phillies player has the most to prove in 2021?
MLB news:
- You love rankings because it gets conversation going. With that, these are the five best and five worst lineups in the game.
- According to Baseball America, these are the best rookies coming into the game this season ($).
- Here is a rundown of which teams will have fans in the stands on Opening Day as well as percentages that will occupy the seats.
- Forgetting to mention this the other day, Jake Odorizzi signed with Houston, stabilizing a rotation that looks a little thin these days.
