Gamethread 4/1: Braves at Phillies

It is time.

We have finally reached the time we’ve all been waiting for.

It’s Opening Day and the Phillies are going to play baseball in Philadelphia in front of fans. After the long, strange quarantine season that gave baseball in the loosest sense of the word, as of now, we’re going to get a full 162 game schedule. Today, they will open their beginning gauntlet of a schedule by hosting the defending NL East champion Braves.

Both of these teams figure to have a say in who will be the division champ at the end of the season. They both harbor ideas of winning the crown and at the very least, they both plan on making the playoffs. While on paper one looks almost like a stone cold lock to do it (Atlanta), the other looks like they will be a team to be accounted for.
