Moniak was the team’s first overall pick in the 2016 MLB draft and made his MLB debut last season. In 18 Spring Training games this season, he hit .273 with two doubles, two home runs, and one triple. Joe Girardi confirmed in his press conference that Moniak will get a lot of playing time now that he is with the Major League club, though Quinn will get the start in center tonight against the Mets.
