The Phillies have announced this afternoon that they have recalled outfielder Mickey Moniak from Lehigh Valley. In addition, Adam Haseley has been placed on the restricted list for personal reasons and will be gone for an undetermined amount of time.

Moniak was the team’s first overall pick in the 2016 MLB draft and made his MLB debut last season. In 18 Spring Training games this season, he hit .273 with two doubles, two home runs, and one triple. Joe Girardi confirmed in his press conference that Moniak will get a lot of playing time now that he is with the Major League club, though Quinn will get the start in center tonight against the Mets.

Girardi also spoke briefly about Haseley being placed on the restricted list.

Here’s one last note from us at The Good Phight: We wish Adam Haseley all the best. And while we understand that for fans this news is shocking, we ask that you please refrain from speculating in the comments on why he has been placed on the restricted list. The public is not entitled to know everything that goes on in players’ lives, and he has the right to keep personal matters private.
