Gamethread 5/25: Phillies at Marlins

Today isn’t exactly the best news day for the Phillies. Bryce Harper mercifully goes on the IL, giving the team the ability to have a full roster yet again. Always a good thing, having a full compliment of players at your disposal.

Game two of this four game series hopes to be a little bit better. Here is the lineup for the Phillies:

That certainly is a lineup.

Vince Velasquez will make the start provided he doesn’t lose feeling in any of his body parts prior to the game starting. Nick Maton get back into the lineup tonight after Girardi sits Ronald Torreyes. They’ll go up agains this Marlins lineup:

Facing Sandy Alcantara again is a pain since he’s a really good pitcher, one you don’t hear too much about.

Other than when he dominates the Phillies of course.

Jorge Alfaro returns to the Marlins, which means I can swoon a little bit.
