Lehigh Valley 6, Worcester 5 (F/10)
David Parkinson - 5 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 7 K, 2 GB, 3 FB
Mickey Moniak - 1 for 4, 3B, 2 RBI, BB, K
Ryan Cordell - 1 for 5, HR, 3 K
Austin Listi - 1 for 4, BB

Edgar Cabral - 1 for 5, R, 2 K
Outside a rough debut outing, Parkinson has been mowing down opposing hitters. The 25 year old lefty has 17 strikeouts to 4 walks in 14.2 innings so far. Damon Jones actually gave up his first runs of the season after a 7+ inning scoreless streak to start the season. Ryan Cordell hit his 4th homer of the season and Cornelius Randolph stole his 3rd base. In the bottom of the 10th, down by 1 run, Edgar Cabral tied it up with a RBI single. Eventually the IronPigs would score the walk-off winning run on a passed ball.
Richmond 6, Reading 3

Luke Miller - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2B, HR, 2 K
Josh Stephen - 0 for 3, BB
Colby Fitch - 1 for 2, HR, 2 RBI, BB, K
Not much going right for Reading in any facet these days. Eastman and Glogoski continue to struggle after above average 2019 campaigns. Reading pitchers combined for 16 strikeouts and STILL lost. Aside from Vierling, Luke Miller is the only Fightin that seems to be hitting the ball. He mashed his 4th homer and is slashing .254/.304/.540 with 20 strikeouts in 63 at-bats.

Tough luck for Mezquita and Leverett have been spectacular all season with ERA’s of 1.93 and 0.71, respectively. Mezquita with 19 strikeouts to 7 walks in 12.1 innings. The BlueClaw offense was held to just 5 hits.

Abrahan Gutierrez - 1 for 4
Carlos De La Cruz - 0 for 2, BB, K, HBP

Ben Pelletier - 0 for 4, K
Despite picking up his second loss the season, Staryln Castillo still maintains a 2.77 ERA with 18 strikeouts to 7 walks in 13 innings. Luis Garcia now has hits in back to back games. DJ Stewart may not be long for Clearwater as he continues to obliterate Low-A ball. He hit his 3rd HR and stole his 1st base all the while slashing .348/.394/.530. At 22 he may be a tad old for the league, but he is now “someone of interest” until he slows down.
