Lehigh Valley 6, Rochester 5 (F/10)

Bailey Falter - 4 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, HR, 3 GB, 2 FB
Damon Jones - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB, 4 K
Mauricio Llovera - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 K, HBP
JD Hammer - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 K
Luke Williams - 2 for 5, RBI, K
Austin Listi - 0 for 4, R, BB, K
Darick Hall - 1 for 5, HR, K
Rafael Marchan - 0 for 3, R, BB
Cornelius Randolph - 1 for 3, R, BB
Josh Stephen - 0 for 3, BB, K

Despite the subpar start by Falter, the IronPigs battled back to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th and win in yet another walk-off in the bottom of the 10th. CJ Chatham delivered the RBI single to score Listi to win the game. Curiously, Luke Williams was the starting centerfielder in this game, which I’m not sure was out of necessity or they are trying yet another option there. Williams is 7 for 15 at the plate to start the season.

Erie 5, Reading 4

James McArthur - 3 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 2 HR, WP, 3 GB, 2 FB
Colton Eastman - 3 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 5 GB, 1 FB
Arquimedes Gamboa - 1 for 2, 2 R, 3 BB
Daniel Brito - 1 for 5, RBI, 2 K
Matt Vierling - 0 for 4, BB, K

McArthur’s 2021 debut didn’t go as planned and he gave up 3 of his runs in the third inning before exiting. His piggyback starter-mate Eastman fared a little better. The Fightin’s mounted a small comeback in the bottom of the 9th to bring the game within a run of forcing extra innings but fell short. Gamboa actually started and finished the game as the team’s centerfielder (as opposed to his primary and above average fielding position of shortstop).

Jersey Shore 5, Hudson Valley 1

Josh Hendrickson - 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 4 K, 3 GB, 1 FB
Jonathan Hughes - 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 2 K, 5 GB, 0 FB (pickoff error)
Jonathan Guzman - 0 for 4, K
Bryson Stott - 1 for 4, HR, 2 K
Jhailyn Ortiz - 2 for 4, R, 2B, 2 K
Logan O’Hoppe - 0 for 3, R, BB, K
Rudy Rott - 1 for 3, R, 3B, 2 RBI, 2 K

23 year old Australian, Josh Hendrickson, tore up this Hudson Valley lineup. Bryson Stott hit his first homerun of the season (of hopefully many more) and Ortiz has his second multi-hit game.

Clearwater 5, Lakeland 0

Eduar Segovia - 2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, 1 GB, 1 FB
Victor Vargas - 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 5 K, 4 GB, 1 FB
Johan Rojas - 0 for 3, R, 2 K, HBP
Luis Garcia - 1 for 4, RBI, K
Casey Martin - 1 for 4, R, 2B, RBI, K
Chris Burke - 2 for 4, 2B, 2 K
Corbin Williams - 1 for 4, R, 2 K
Hunter Markwardt - 2 for 2, 2 R, 2 BB, CS
Edgar Made - 1 for 3, 2 RBI, K, SB (throwing error)

Segovia makes his 2021 debut in style, striking out 5 in less than 3 innings of work. He is a name to keep an eye on this season. Victor Vargas shows him up a bit with an excellent showing of his own. The 6’1 Colombian picked up his first win. Luis Garcia has hit safely in all three game this season and is batting .357.
