Gamethread 5/9: Phillies at Braves

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there

Last was an abomination. Let’s just get that out of the way. It was horrible and terrible and we aren’t going to speak of it again. Whatever you have about that game, get it out of your system now.

Good?

Alright, let’s move on. The Phillies take on the Braves tonight on Sunday night baseball on ESPN, which means all the more reason to turn the TV volume all the way down and the radio volume all the way up. Listening to Matt Vasgersian and Alex Rodriguez drone on and on about all the different baseball cliches they can fit in during the broadcast is quite simply the worst. If you are into watching the game with the TV sound on, at least watch the Statcast version that will be available on ESPN2. At least there might be some conversation there that is interesting.

Here are your lineups. For the Phillies:

Trying to gain a series victory by sending your ace to the hill is always a good proposition, which is what the Phillies will do tonight with Aaron Nola.

For the Braves:

Their dual threat Huascar Ynoa toes the rubber for the Braves, hoping to do damage with his arm and bat against the Phillies.

Let’s talk about it!
