Rochester 4, Lehigh Valley 3

Didi Gregorius - 3 for 3, 2B, HR 2 RBI
Scott Kingery - 0 for 1, BB, K
Adam Haseley - 2 for 5, K
Nick Maton - 1 for 4, 2B, RBI, BB, 2 K
Mickey Moniak - 1 for 5, K

Weird one for Lehigh Valley as Ramon Rosso “started” this game, but I’m not sure if this was intended to be a bullpen game or not. He only threw 37 pitches. Then even more curiously Bailey Falter came in relief during the game (1.1 scoreless) and then Ethan Evanko relieved him for 3 scoreless. Anyway, Didi Gregorius in his second rehab start was a triple short of the cycle and appears to be all but ready to rejoin the Phillies whenever they decide that it.

Hartford 9, Reading 8

Josh Hendrickson - 4 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 5 K, 2 HR, WP, HBP, 1 GB, 3 FB
Francisco Morales - 3 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, HR, 3 GB, 0 FB
Bryson Stott - 1 for 3, R, 2 RBI, 2 BB, K
Matt Vierling - 2 for 5, HR, 2 K
Jorge Bonifacio - 0 for 5, 2 K
Arquimedes Gamboa - 1 for 3, BB, K (throwing error)

I guess Francisco Morales is in a piggyback situation now? It didn’t really help either he or Hendrickson last night as both struggled. Regardless, Reading had a lead going into the 9th inning in which Brian Marconi gave up three runs and took the loss. Bryson Stott and Matt Vierling are the new bash brothers of the Fightin’s. Vierling added his 5th homer of the season.

Jersey Shore 1, Wilmington 0 (GM1, completion of 6/9 suspended game)
Wilmington 6, Jersey Shore 3 (GM2)

Jhordany Mezquita - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB, K, 1 GB, 4 FB
Adam Leverett - 4.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 6 K, 2 GB, 3 FB
Dominic Pipkin - 3.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, BB, 6 K, 2 HBP, 4 GB, 1 FB

Jonathan Guzman - 1 for 7, 2B, 3 K (fielding error)
Logan O’Hoppe - 0 for 6, BB, K
Jhailyn Ortiz - 2 for 6, R, RBI, BB, 2 K
DJ Stewart - 1 for 3, R, 2B, BB, K

The weather finally cooperates and the BlueClaws get some of these rained out games in. They split this set. Of note, DJ Stewart makes his High-A debut. The 22 year old 1B/3B was slashing .353/.413/.529 with 3 HR and 6 walks to 13 strikeouts in 68 at-bats. He just recently came off the IL to make this debut.

Clearwater 6, Tampa 3

Eduar Segovia - 1.2 IP, 0 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, K, 0 GB, 3 FB
Maikel Garrido - 3.1 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 4 K, 2 GB, 1 FB
Victor Vargas - 4 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, BB, 4 K, 5 GB, 1 FB
Yhoswar Garcia - 1 for 3, R, BB, K, HBP, 4 SB
Luis Garcia - 0 for 2, R, 2 BB, SB
Johan Rojas - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2B, SB
Rixon Wingrove - 0 for 4, K
Casey Martin - 2 for 3, R, 2B, 3 RBI, BB, K, SB, CS
Juan Aparicio - 2 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, K
Carlos De La Cruz - 0 for 2, BB, K
Kendall Simmons - 0 for 4, 2 K (throwing error)
Edgar Made - 1 for 3, 2B, BB

The long-awaited debut of top international signee Yhoswar Garcia is a massive hit. Two of his steals were of third base. He is going to be a fun one to follow. Johan Rojas extended his hitting streak to 7 games and Juan Aparicio mashed his 2nd dinger of the season. Baron Radcliff started this game, but was hit by a pitch and exited the game.
