Gamethread 6/15: Phillies at Dodgers

Let’s try this again

MLB: Philadelphia Phillies at Los Angeles Dodgers Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Mistakes, in general, are bad in baseball. Make a mistake and there might be a time where you can get away with it. You might even win the game.

Make a mistake against a team like the Dodgers and chances are they will make you pay.

The Phillies, Spencer Howard in particular, made two mistakes last night and the Dodgers hit them over the wall. It proved to be the difference in the loss, putting the Phillies back at .500. Tonight, they’ll get a chance to get back over the mark again in Los Angeles. Here are the lineups. For the Phillies:

Zach Eflin is on the bump tonight, hoping to have another six inning start for the Phillies, consistently doing so all year long.

For the Dodgers:

Julio Urias goes for Los Angeles, he of the nine win season, hoping to get to 10 before anyone else in the game.

Let’s talk about it.
