Worcester 10, Lehigh Valley 1

Adonis Medina - 4 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 0 K, HR, HBP, 4 GB, 4 FB
Scott Kingery - 1 for 3, R, BB
Nick Maton - 1 for 4, K
Matt Vierling - 2 for 4, RBI, K
Mickey Moniak - 0 for 4, K (outfield assist, home)
Adam Haseley - 0 for 4, 2 K
Rafael Marchan - 0 for 4, K (passed ball)

Certainly not the result I would have expected with this lineup and Medina on the mound. Medina takes his 4th loss of the season and saw his ERA rise to 5.61 in 33.2 innings this season in LHV. The offense behind him only mustered 5 hits and 3 walk to 12 strikeouts. Two of those hits came from Matt Vierling, making his AAA debut.

Reading 9, Harrisburg 8 (F/10)

James McArthur - 4.1 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, BB, 3 K, 2 HR, 4 GB, 2 FB
Daniel Brito - 3 for 6, R, 2B
Bryson Stott - 1 for 6, 2 K
Jorge Bonifacio - 2 for 4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI, 2 BB, K
Luke Miller - 2 for 5, HR, 2 RBI, K (throwing error)
McCarthy Tatum - 1 for 6, HR, 2 K

After holding an 8-3 lead heading into the bottom of the 5th, McArthur, Jonathan Hennigan and Braden Zarbinsky would allow Harrisburg to tie the game up to force extras. In the top of the 10th, the newly signed Brock Stassi (remember him?) hit the go-ahead and eventual game-winning single. Jorge Bonifacio continues to rake in AA as he gets up to speed before I’d assume his eventual promotion to AAA. He hit his 7th homer and was intentionally walked twice in the game. Luke Miller and McCarthy Tatum added their 7th and 5th homers, respectively.

Hudson Valley 6, Jersey Shore 5

Adam Leverett - 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, WP, 6 GB, 3 FB
Jhordany Mezquita - 0.2 IP, 1 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, K, WP
Hunter Markwardt - 1 for 4, R, 2 K, 2 SB
Jhailyn Ortiz - 4 for 5, R, 2 2B, 2 RBI, SB
Logan O’Hoppe - 1 for 5, RBI, 4 K
DJ Stewart - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K
Jonathan Guzman - 1 for 4, SB

Adam Leverett has been lights out for Jersey Shore this season. The 22 year old has 28 strikeouts to 8 walks in 26 innings this season while holding a 0.35 ERA. Even though Mezquita wasn’t great last night, it was actually Aneurys Zabala who would give up runs in the 8th and 9th (via a walk-off) to take the loss, his 3rd. Jhailyn Ortiz with the big four-hit game. He is slashing .262/.347/.432 with 5 homers and 45 strikeouts to 13 walks in 130 at-bats.

Clearwater 9, Dunedin 7

Mick Abel - 2.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 4 K, HR, HBP, 0 GB, 3 FB
Yhoswar Garcia - 2 for 6, R, RBI, 2 K, 2 SB (fielding error)
Luis Garcia - 1 for 5, 2 R, BB, 3 K
Johan Rojas - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI, BB, 2 SB
Abrahan Gutierrez - 1 for 4, R, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB
Rixon Wingrove - 1 for 5, 2B, 2 RBI, K
Casey Martin - 2 for 4, R, 2B, BB, K
Baron Radcliff - 2 for 4, R, RBI, BB, K
Carlos De La Cruz - 1 for 4, R, 2B, BB, K
Nicolas Torres - 1 for 5, 2B, RBI, 2 K (throwing error)

Not the start you want to see out of your top pitching prospect, but alas the Thresher offense was merciless. Another multi-hit and mult-steal game for Yhoswar Garcia, who now has 7 swipes since his debut last week. Johan Rojas also with two steals (to give him 10) and has also extended his hitting streak to 11 games. During that streak he is slashing .375/.446/.667 with 3 homers and 6 walks to 12 strikeouts (48 at-bats).
