Scranton/WB 14, Lehigh Valley 5

David Parkinson - 4 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 HR, HBP, 2 GB, 3 FB
Scott Kingery - 1 for 3, R, 2B, 2 BB, 2 K
Austin Listi - 2 for 4, RBI, BB, K

This team is decidedly less interesting to follow when Mickey Moniak, Nick Maton, Luke Williams, Adam Haseley, Rafael Marchan and Cornelius Randolph are not in the lineup. The offense last night didn’t get a hit until the 5th inning. Jeff Singer appears to be regressing. On top of giving up 4 runs last night, he has given up 5 earned runs in his previous 3 outings and now has a 5.71 ERA on the season. In more positive news, Mauricio Llovera now holds a 2.79 ERA with 20 strikeouts to 9 walks in 19.1 innings as a full-time reliever this season.

Binghamton 2, Reading 0

Francisco Morales - 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 9 K, HR, 3 WP, 2 GB, 3 FB
Daniel Brito - 0 for 4
Bryson Stott - 0 for 3, 2 K
Jorge Bonifacio - 0 for 3
Rodolfo Duran - 0 for 3, K (throwing error)
Luke Miller - 0 for 3, K
Arquimedes Gamboa - 0 for 3, K

Speaking of no-hitters, the Fightin’s are shutout in the boxscore even with Francisco Morales delivering his best start of the season (in a very rough AA debut so far). The 9 strikeouts were a season-high.

Jersey Shore 7, Brooklyn 5

Dominic Pipkin - 4 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 2 GB, 1 FB
Manuel Silva - 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K, 3 GB, 1 FB
Corbin Williams - 1 for 3, R, 2 BB, SB, CS
Casey Martin - 1 for 5, HR, 3 RBI, K, CS
Jhailyn Ortiz - 0 for 4, BB, 2 K
Logan O’Hoppe - 0 for 3, R, 2 BB, K
DJ Stewart - 2 for 5, 2 R, HR, K (throwing error)
Jonathan Guzman - 2 for 5, R, RBI, K, 2 SB
Vito Friscia - 2 for 4, 3B, RBI, BB, K, SB

Casey Martin puts on a show in his High-A debut with Jersey Shore, hitting a three-run homer in the 3rd inning. He hit only 1 HR in 151 at-bats in Low-A. DJ Stewart also added a dinger, his 2nd with the BlueClaws and 5th overall on the season. The 22 year old corner infielder is slashing .336/.393/.518 across two-levels.

Clearwater 9, Daytona 4

Eduar Segovia - 2 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, HR, 1 GB, 0 FB
Victor Vargas - 4 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 K, 4 GB, 1 FB
Yhoswar Garcia - 1 for 5, K
Johan Rojas - 0 for 5, 4 K
Kendall Simmons - 1 for 5, R, 2B, K (throwing error)
Baron Radcliff - 0 for 3, R, 2 BB, 2 K
Rixon Wingrove - 2 for 4, 3 R, 2B, BB (missed catch error)
Luis Garcia - 3 for 4, R
Abrahan Gutierrez - 2 for 3, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI, BB
Nicolas Torres - 2 for 3, HR, 5 RBI, BB
Carlos De La Cruz - 0 for 4, 2 K

Victor Vargas has been impressive this season. To go along with collecting his second “save” of the season last night, the 20 year old righty has a 3.45 ERA with 37 strikeouts to 7 walks in 31.1 innings. Luis Garcia has himself his first multi-hit game since June 5th. Nicolas Torres (1) and Abrahan Gutierrez (2) hit two-run homers. Gutierrez is slashing .303/.413/.412 in 119 at-bats.
