Gamethread: A double dip with the Mets

This is it, my friends.

We have reached the most important series of the season. The 34-37 Phillies are headed to New York to take on the Mets, leaders of the division. This series should be the one that determines the status of the team for the rest of the season. They must win three out of four games to even continue to dream of having a chance. Anything less than that, coupled with the play of the other teams in the division, might doom the chances of the Phillies to make the playoffs. Starting with a doubleheader today, they will try and make that series win happen.

Here are the lineups for game one. For the Phillies:

To have any chance at winning the doubleheader, Aaron Nola has to pitch like the ace he is. He cannot flop today.

For the Mets:

The Phillies will face Taijuan Walker, a tough assignment in and of itself.
