Last night was a dud. We can all admit that. So let’s move on to this afternoon. The Phillies have a chance to take a game from the Red Sox today, but they get to face one of Boston’s hottest starters in the process. Win this one, take tomorrow’s start and they’ll be at .500 headed into the All-Star break. It’s a worthy goal to shoot for.
Here are the lineups. For the Phillies:

Matt Moore is on the hill today, which might explain why Bailey Falter wasn’t used last night as a long man. J.T. Realmuto gets off his feet but keeps his bat in the lineup, meaning Andrew Knapp is going behind the dish. Didi is out, Toe is in.

Same as last night for Boston. Martin Perez is on the bump for Boston. He has a 1.86 ERA over his last four starts (only 19 1⁄3 IP though), so he’s been good lately. It’s a stiff test for the Phillies.
Let’s talk about it.
