The series finale between the Phillies and Red Sox was highly anticipated by some (and dreaded by others) because the Sox had former Phil Nick Pivetta on the mound. The original plan was for the Phillies to counter with Aaron Nola. That was until...

As you may know, the Phillies are one of the few teams that haven’t hit the 85% vaccination threshold, and you can check my Twitter feed (@TheSmartyJones) for my thoughts on that.

With Aaron Nola unable to start, who will the Phillies turn to instead?

Oh that’s perfect. After two games where the Phillies’ starter went 2.1 and 4.1 innings, they’ll need to go with a bullpen game today. However, they have four straight days off due to the All-Star break (Surprisingly, none of the Phillies relievers were chosen for the game), so it might be okay if Joe Girardi pushes some of these guys more than usual today.
