Sometimes a postponement is a good thing. With the Phillies getting the night off, they were able to reset their team, getting ready to welcome one of the better teams in the game to Philadelphia this weekend in San Diego. They were going to have to skip Zach Eflin last night anyway since he was sick, so at least this gives them an extra day to get him ready. It also meant they didn’t have to pitch Matt Moore, which is always a plus.
Anyway, for all of you in the United States, have a wonderful Fourth of July weekend.
On to the links.
Phillies news:
- They’ll be able to start Zack Wheeler in the series opener, which is a huge plus for them since it could set the tone for the remainder of the games.
- If the Phillies are buyers at the end of the month, here are three names that could help their beleaguered bullpen.
- Brandon Kintzler will indeed return to the bullpen as Neftali Feliz was mercifully designated for assignment.
MLB news:
- Here are your All-Star starters. For some strange reason, I am really glad that Adam Frazier made it.
- How about the Seattle Mariners, a contender that we never saw coming.
- Some bold predictions these for the rest of the month.
