Gamethread 7/27: Nationals at Phillies

What can they do-oo-oo-oo for an encore?

Last night was magical in Philadelphia thanks to the walk off home run by Andrew McCutchen. Several plays before that stood out though. First was Rhys Hoskins’ home run that made it 4-3. When he got the hanging curveball, he did what he was supposed to. Sometimes players don’t do what they’re supposed to, but luckily for the Phillies, Hoskins was up to the task.

The other play was Ronald Torreyes’ snare in the seventh inning. It’s those little things that add up to give the team the moment that they had at end of the game from McCutchen.

Tonight, the two teams go at it again. Here are the lineups. For the Phillies:
