Lehigh Valley 5, Rochester 3

David Parkinson - 5.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 4 K, 4 GB, 2 FB
Jorge Bonifacio - 1 for 2, 2 BB, CS
Nick Maton - 1 for 4, 2B, RBI, K
Matt Vierling - 2 for 4, R, K (outfield assist, 3B)
Daniel Brito - 0 for 3, R, BB, 2 K
Rodolfo Duran - 1 for 4, HR, 3 RBI, K

David Parkinson finally picks up his first AAA victory of the season (he was 0-7 entering the game). The recently promoted Rodolfo Duran gave the IronPigs a 5-0 lead with his first AAA homer, a three-run blast in the 4th inning.

Reading 5, Somerset 4

Jack Perkins - 4 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, HR, 2 GB, 1 FB
Arquimedes Gamboa - 2 for 5, 2B, RBI, 3 K, SB
Josh Stephen - 1 for 4, RBI, K
Bryson Stott - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K

There is not much talent on this Reading squad these days outside a few guys like Stott, Francisco Morales and Rafael Marchan. The latter who was curiously out of the lineup yesterday? Anyway, Reading put up a 4-spot in the 2nd which carried them through much of the game with the lead. Gamboa isn’t much of a prospect anymore, but he has been hitting the ball well of late. In June he is slashing .325/.426/.513 with 3 homers and 3 stolen bases.

Jersey Shore 3, Brooklyn 1

Erik Miller - 3.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 4 K, 1 GB, 1 FB
Jhordany Mezquita - 4.2 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 7 K, HBP, 2 GB, 3 FB
Logan O’Hoppe - 1 for 4, 2B, K
McCarthy Tatum - 2 for 4, HR, SB
Jhailyn Ortiz - 2 for 4, 2 K
Vito Friscia - 1 for 4, K, SB
Jonathan Guzman - 1 for 4, R, 3 K

More good signs from Erik Miller as he completes his rehab assignments at each level. He was up to 98 mph on his fastball in his last start (I honestly haven’t seen velo numbers from this one yet). He is on the rise after missing much of the season with an injury and is someone who I think can contribute to the Phillies as soon as 2022, if healthy of course. Jhailyn Ortiz saw his consecutive games with homerun streak come to an end, but did notch two singles (his AVG is up to .267).
