Worcester 7, Lehigh Valley 2

Cristopher Sanchez - 3 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 4 GB, 3 FB
Nick Maton - 1 for 4, R, RBI
Matt Vierling - 0 for 2, 2 BB, K
Mickey Moniak - 0 for 2, 2 BB
Rafael Marchan - 1 for 3, R, BB (throwing error)

IronPigs are held to just 2 runs on 5 hits. Sanchez and Bryan Mitchell combined to give up all 7 runs. Lehigh Valley is in quite the sorry state right now.

Reading 4, Harrisburg 1

Jack Perkins - 6 IP 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 7 GB, 5 FB
Daniel Brito - 1 for 3, 2 R, HR, 2 BB
Bryson Stott - 0 for 4, 2 K
Jorge Bonifacio - 2 for 2, 2 R, RBI, 2 BB, SB
Josh Stephen - 1 for 2, 2B, RBI, 2 BB
Rodolfo Duran - 1 for 4, K

Jack Perkins picks up his 2nd AA win of the season and lowers his ERA to 3.46. He is oddly finding more success in Reading than he did with the BlueClaws (5.51 ERA). Daniel Brito remains red-hot at the plate, knocking his 4th HR of the season and improving his season slash to .308/.368/.473. He is inching his way to a AAA promotion. Speaking of which, why is Bonifacio still in AA? 11 homers and .995 OPS later he should have been there a week ago. Meanwhile, Bryson Stott has been hit by the struggle bus. The 23 year old is in a 1 for 24 slump at the plate.

Jersey Shore 7, Wilmington 0

Kevin Gowdy - 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 6 K, 3 GB, 5 FB
Casey Martin - 1 for 5, R, 2B, 2 K
Logan O’Hoppe - 1 for 3, HR, 2 RBI, BB
DJ Stewart - 1 for 3, 2 R, HR, BB
Jhailyn Ortiz - 2 for 3, R, BB
Vito Friscia - 1 for 3, R, 2 RBI, BB, K

Kevin Gowdy continues his hot streak yesterday with his 3rd win and saw his ERA drop to 3.46. He has 48 strikeouts to 10 walks in 49.1 innings. He should most definitely be in AA. He was backed by Logan O’Hoppe’s 7th homer and DJ Stewart’s 3rd homer. Across two levels, Stewart has 6 homers and is slashing .305/.365/.482 in 141 at-bats.
