Gamethread 7/7: Phillies at Cubs

Can the Phillies make it another offensive fireworks display?

MLB: Philadelphia Phillies at Chicago Cubs Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports

How much offense can your heart take?

Facing a team in a clear downturn, the Phillies have responded by battering them the past two games. Though the bullpen tried to make it interesting late last night, ultimately, the 15 runs they put on the board were too much to come back from.

Tonight, the Phillies have their top pitcher on the mound, hoping to keep building on this recent good form and get back to .500.

Here are the lineups. For the Phillies:

We’ve been tough on Joe Girardi ‘round these parts, but going with the same lineup that just put up 15 runs is what we call “smart managin’”.

For the Cubs:

Alec Mills will try and contain this suddenly monstrous lineup. Good luck.

Let’s talk about it.
