Lehigh Valley 6, Worcester 2

Mark Appel - 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 6 K, 4 GB, 1 FB

Matt Vierling - 0 for 3, BB, SB
Mickey Moniak - 1 for 4, 2B, RBI, K
Rafael Marchan - 2 for 4, R

Let’s all take time to appreciate what Mark Appel has done this year after a few years away from the game. He isn’t likely to ever have an impact at the MLB level, but dang is it not a great story in 2021. Nick Maton’s two-run single in the 5th wound up being the difference in this one.

Not a lot to highlight here besides Daniel Brito extending his hitting streak to 8 games and Josh Stephen hitting his 4th homer of the season (3 of them have come in his last 8 games).
