Phillies MLR 7/7/21: Mark Appel continues to be one of the best baseball stories of 2021

Let’s all take time to appreciate what Mark Appel has done this year after a few years away from the game. He isn’t likely to ever have an impact at the MLB level, but dang is it not a great story in 2021. Nick Maton’s two-run single in the 5th wound up being the difference in this one.
