The Diamondbacks are coming to town today.
In case you forgot, they are bad. They are not a good team at all. And yet they swept the Phillies last week. The Phillies cannot let this happen. In fact, they must take at least three games from Arizona. It is imperative that they do so. A sweep would be nice, but a series win is a must.
On to the links.
Phillies links:
- Andrew Painter, the team’s top draft pick from this season, is set to make his debut while their top pick from last year has some shoulder issues.
- Bryce Harper has been stand-up all season about the team, and it has continued through this current bout of bad play.
- Always nice to get an outside view of the team, especially when they make some moves like they just did ($).
MLB news:
- The playoffs are going to end, if each series goes seven games, on November 3, which feels absurd.
- Looks like MLB is going to continue getting feedback on a newer tacky baseball, something they’ve been doing all season already.
- 2022 will be Yadier Molina’s final season, meaning we can finally stop asking the question about whether you’d trade Molina straight up for Mike Trout.
