Scranton/WB 4, Lehigh Valley 2
Colton Eastman - 4 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, HR, WP, 2 GB, 6 FB
Adam Haseley - 4 for 4, 2 SB, CS
Rafael Marchan - 1 for 4, K
Luke Williams - 0 for 4, K
Nick Maton - 1 for 4, R, 2B, 2 K
Cornelius Randolph - 1 for 4, 2 RBI, 3 K (fielding error)
Arquimedes Gamboa - 0 for 3, 3 K
A 4-hit, 2 stolen base game from Haseley is sort of encouraging. Lets hope he can close out the season on a high-note. The rest of the offense provided 6 additional hits...and 16 strikeouts to just 1 walk.
Reading 2, Binghamton 1
Francisco Morales - 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB, 9 K, 4 GB, 2 FB
Bryson Stott - 2 for 4, 2B, 2 K
Simon Muzziotti - 2 for 4, 2B, 2 RBI
Logan O’Hoppe - 0 for 4, 2 K
Speaking of ending on a high-note, Morales reminds us that he can indeed be a pretty good prospect by throwing 43 of his 62 pitches for strikes. If this is his last start of the season, lets only remember this one. Reading returns from a long-layoff where they had to cancel games because the opposing team was dealing with a COVID outbreak. Simon Muzziotti gets promoted to AA and keeps on hitting.
Brooklyn 5, Jersey Shore 2
Noah Skirrow - 4 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K, 2 HBP, 1 GB, 1 FB
Johan Rojas - 0 for 3, RBI, K
Luis Garcia - 0 for 3, BB, K
DJ Stewart - 0 for 4, K
Nicolas Torres - 1 for 3, K, SB, HBP
Jonathan Guzman - 1 for 3, R
Not a great finish to the season for Noah Skirrow between his last 6 starts (4 AA, 2 High-A) he had given up 20 runs in 21.2 innings. The offense did him no favors, failing to collect an extra-base hit and being held to just 3 hits total. On the bright-side, Nicolas Torres continued his torrid pace through High-A ball. The 21 year old is slashing .410/.451/.470 in 83 at-bats since being promoted.
