After their game was postponed from Wednesday, the Phillies and Nationals will be back in action on Thursday afternoon. The Phillies will attempt to win their sixth in a row as well as finish off a three-game sweep of the Nats.

The timing of the weather-induced off day wasn’t ideal since the Phillies were on a five-game winning streak, and their offense had regained its potency. (Six straight games of seven or more runs.) Hopefully the one-day break didn’t kill off whatever magic formula the hitters have discovered.

Sadly this will be the last game for the Phillies at Nationals Park in 2021. The stadium has proven very hospitable to them (8-1) this season, and Bryce Harper’s MVP candidacy has gotten a huge boost by his performance there (1.342 OPS).
