Colton Eastman gets a promotion to LHV and gets tagged a bit, however the pitcher of record was even more unfortunately a rehabbing Seranthony Dominguez who picks up his first AAA loss of the season. Bunch of other folks rehabbing in this one including Andrew Knapp (please stay down in AAA) and Matt Joyce (see Knapp suggestion). Someone who should be on the Phillies however is Nick Maton, who mashed his 4th AAA homer and 2nd in as many games.

The BlueClaws gave up 11 (!!!!!) runs in the 6th inning somehow. I’m not even mad, just impressed honestly. Skirrow, JP Woodward and Tom Sutera combined to give up all 21 runs. The offense behind them wasn’t even that bad! Simon Muzziotti was promoted to High-A and if he keeps hitting, should see AA before the end of the season in a couple weeks.

This was a bad night for Phillies pitching all-around, huh? Offense was good though I guess, combining for 12 hits and 4 walks in this one. Jared Carr hit his 4th HR of the season and Kendall Simmons added his 5th. Centerfielder Carr has been impressive since his pro debut. The 22 year old 2021 13th round pick might be a tad old for the league, but he is currently slashing .279/.402/.529 in 68 at-bats and someone to keep an eye on next season.
