David Robertson’s second stint with the Phillies ended yesterday as the reliever signed a contract with the Mets. While his on-field performance in Philadelphia was uneven, Robertson consistently brought his dreamy, good looks with him every time he stepped onto the field.

I was starting to get upset about losing such a handsome player - to a division rival no less - and then I got a look at the Phillies’ newly signed shortstop.

Excuse me while I swoon for a few minutes.
That is one handsome man. I see that, and I’m all “Who’s David Robertson?” When the good lord was handing out gifts, he chose to be very generous with Mr. Turner. Not only is he blessed with almost unrivaled athletic ability, but good looks as well? It seems almost unfair.
While the Phillies could undoubtedly use an additional late-inning reliever to replace Robertson’s innings in 2023, I think it’s safe to say his role as team hottie has been adequately filled.
