Gamethread NLCS Game 7: Diamondbacks at Phillies

After going up 2-0 in the series, did we think we’d be in a Game 7 situation? I certainly didn’t as I was already analyzing matchups with the Rangers. But hey, look at us...

The Diamondbacks are playing with house money and all the pressure is now on the Phillies.

The Phillies have never played a Game 7 in their very, very long history. Tonight is the night to start that stat at 1-0. Topper has the same lineup and our savior, Ranger Suarez going in must-win, sudden-death overtime game. Ranger has been magnificent and he will need to be again. More importantly, the lineup will need to figure out some dude named Brandon Pfaadt (the Diamondbacks have the goofiest names). Pfaadt dominated the Phillies in almost humiliating fashion in Game 3 in which the Phillies almost forced extra-innings, but then Craig Kimbrel happened.
